Fundación Romero has
launched the fourth edition of the contest ‘Para Quitarse el Sombrero', that
will give S/. 500,000 in prices to the students that create the best business plans
around the country. The program has the objective of encouraging entrepreneurships
in young people all over Peru and to develop new productive chains.
The competition is
open for students between of universities and institutes, private and public, from
all over the country. As a novelty for this edition, students of CETPROS and members
of Campus Virtual Romero (www.campusromero.pe) are allowed to participate. The
registration will be open until the 30th of June through the
official website www.premio.pqs.pe.
After this date, the
first stage of evaluation will begin in the respective educational institutions.
Then, the best initiatives will continue racing in their regions until they
reach the great final that will take place in Lima around mid-October.
It is important to mention that the 2014
edition had 20% more participants than the 2013: 4,800 business plans were presents, around
15,000 students competed, 257
institutions country wide were registered and twelve projects were elected
winners.
