Fino reaches a new record in harvest of soybeans in Santa Cruz, Bolivia
Fino is always aiming for bigger goals and in this occasion the harvest of soybeans have reached a new record. The harvest has extended to 975 thousand hectares, which symbolizes 8.2% more than the area harvested last year. Also, this year the area seeded has been 52% more than the last nine years.
The first reason for this accomplishment is the strategic planning the company has launched. These operations are based in the projections of the soybeans crops and also of its future performance. These projections are used to create a short, medium and long term work agenda.
In the agricultural farms, soy farming is the most important activity. Soybeans are harvested all along Santa Cruz. The crop cycle lasts between 100 and 120 days. Most of the production is sold to the industry sector and also to grain exporters. Finally, industrialized product is sold as domestic consumption and surpluses are exported.
