90 business ideas left competing for the S/. 500 thousand of ‘Para Quitarse el Sombrero’

The contest ‘Para Quitarse el Sombrero', that will reward the best business plans of the country with S/.500, 000, reaches its final stage. Ninety projects have been selected to compete for the awards at the closing ceremony to be held on October 23rd in Lima.

After the first stage of online voting and a deep evaluation from regional juries, the best representatives of the national entrepreneurship have been chosen. This way, there are business  from the cities of Lima ( 23) , Junín (20 ) , Lambayeque (20 ), Arequipa (9 ) , La Libertad ( 7), Cajamarca ( 3) , Loreto ( 2) San Martin ( 2) , Ancash ( 1) , Piura ( 1) , Puno ( 1) and Tumbes ( 1).

Now the real challenge begins. Finalists will be required to continue working in their business ideas until October 4th, when a national jury will evaluate them. Then, all the interested public can give their online vote and support their favorite project via the official website www.premio.pqs.pe. Finally, on October 23rd, the winners will be selected.

 

"Para Quitarse el Sombrero"

The' Para Quitarse el Sombrero ' award, developed and executed by Fundación Romero, aims to encourage entrepreneurship amongst young students from all over Peru. It seeks the participation of students between 18 and 35 years old, from public and private universities and institutes nationwide.

This year, 16,500 participants were registered and presented a total of 5,567 business ideas.
